Upcoming Activities

I love to garden. It is one of my passions and this year, I get to do it with my daycare buddies. I am so excited. So there are some things that my littles cannot do. I have prepping these.

I am having my little plant the more hearty plants like the melons, cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, etc. Plants, such as the herbs, tomatoes and peppers, were seeded by me.

This will be our opportunity to talk about growing. It is also how we will share God's love and how it grows in our hearts when we care for it. We will be learning to measure, count and (for the older children) keep a picture journal of what they see.

Some other things we will be doing includes hatching butterflies. Fun times coming for the next month. Come back soon as we begin the planting process.

Circle Time

"Circle Time" is always a fun time in our morning. We learn our calendar, shapes, colors, letters and numbers. We have our greetings and learn to shake hands and say hi to our friends. Here are a few pictures of our circle time.

My dog, Jeter, sometimes gets into the action. He loves the babies who come here.

I make sure I say "Good Morning" to each friend. I found it gets their attention and prepares them for learning.

We like to clap when we sing our "Months of the Year"

Sometimes we get a bit goofy.

But in the end, these babies ROCK!!!!

Valentine Fun

It has been several months since I last made a post. I decided to take a moment to share with you our adventures of today. I will try to make a post of the past several months another time.

I had an opportunity to bring a small friend to the Home Depot Kids Workshop this weekend.

My only princess. She really got into the whole painting process.

Preparation. Little man was sitting so patiently as Ms. Amy got everything together.

This was before the smock came out.

It's amazing how quickly the smocks appeared though.

Helping Ms. Amy hammering.

Some used one hand others used two.

Ms. Amy allowed the babies to explore the hammer (supervised closely of course).

It was very heavy and needed two hands to hold.

She is quite pleased with her handiwork.

He was very interested in how it was all staying together. He was very intrigued by this.

Painting was the best.

This was the best part. He insisted to hammer on his own.

The plate kept moving.

He enjoyed the assembly process more than the painting.

He was the only one who attempted to hammer on his own. He did a pretty good job for being the youngest one here.

How can you not love this face.

He wanted little to do with the hammering, but he absolutely LOVES painting.

This little sweetie loves to write and color. He is most definitely a budding artist.

We are excited to fill these up. Having our Valentines Party on Friday. We are all excited.
